Western Michigan Christian continued its impressive season on the volleyball court with another win Tuesday. The Warriors beat Orchard View in four sets to move to 33-5 overall and a perfect 5-0 in Lakes 8 conference play.
WMC took the first two sets by scores of 25-16 and 25-19 before OV won the third set 25-18. The Warriors dominated the final set to the tune of 25-6 to finish out the win.
Kyla Wiersema led WMC with 11 kills. Kendal Young had 25 assists and six kills, while Emily Fett added 13 assists.
Ashley Binnendyk had a team-high 15 digs for the Warriors, followed by Maddie Wiersema with 14 digs and four blocks.
Faith Laventure and McKenzie Covington had five kills each to pace OV. Megan Tenhove’s 10 assists and two aces led the Cardinals, while Marti Parascondolo had nine assists and a pair of aces.
Aleya Jones had a team-high 19 digs for OV, followed by Hikari Katsuzawa with eight.
Orchard View falls to 8-14 overall this season.
