Whitehall’s Rayne Thompson reached a major milestone in a three-set win over Sparta on Tuesday.
Thompson recorded 13 kills on the night, pushing her over the 1,000 kill mark in her career. She is just the fourth player in Whitehall volleyball history to reach 1,000.
The Vikings won the match by set scores of 25-9, 25-15 and 25-9.
Maggie Evans recorded 33 assists and six aces for Whitehall, while Charley Klint added nine kills and seven aces. Ryleigh Mott led the team with 10 digs, while Klint added seven.
Whitehall is now 24-3-1 on the season, including a perfect 7-0 in West Michigan Conference play.
