The Whitehall football team took care of business on Friday night, defeating Hart 46-6 in a West Michigan Conference clash.
The Vikings opened the scoring with an 18-yard passing touchdown from Kyle Stratton to Nate Bolley to take a 7-0 lead with 6:38 to go in the first quarter.
Whitehall opened the scoring in the second quarter on a six-yard TD pass from Stratton to Bolley to take a 14-0 lead with 11:52 to go.
The Vikings scored again on a 12-yard rushing touchdown by Alec Pruett to increase its lead to 21-0.
Hart responded with an eight-yard touchdown throw from Kellen Kimes to Chance Alvesteffer, but a failed two-point attempt left the score 21-6.
Whitehall struck back with a 63-yard touchdown pass from Stratton to Red Watson and led 28-6 at halftime.
The Vikings opened the scoring in the third quarter on a 50-yard touchdown run by Stratton, extending the lead to 34-6.
Pruett added 14 and 15-yard TD runs in the fourth quarter.
Whitehall was led on offense by Stratton with 219 yards and three touchdowns on 9-of-15 passing. Pruett had 20 carries for 193 yards and three touchdowns while Bolley had 71 yards and two touchdowns on four receptions.
On defense, the Vikings were led by Jackson Cook and Jaiden Altgilbers with six tackles each.
Hart was led by Alvesteffer with 55 yards on 16 carries.
Hart fell to 2-4 and takes on Shelby next week. Whitehall improved to 6-1 and will play rival Montague next week in a game that will determine the conference championship.
