The Oakridge soccer team pulled out an exciting 2-0 double overtime victory over Comstock Park on Wednesday in the semifinals of the Division 3 district tournament at Kent City High School.
The Eagles poured on the offense, outshooting Comstock Park 23-7, but no shots went in either net in regulation, and the game went to OT.
Eric Ortiz scored for Oakridge in the first OT period while Gavan Bignall scored in the second to nail down the victory.
Goalie Zach Maitner earned the shutout for the Eagles.
Oakridge now advances to Saturday’s district championship game against Tri-County, which will be played at noon in Kent City.
