Ludington topped Muskegon Catholic Central in Lakes 8 volleyball action Tuesday night. The Orioles won in straight sets by scores of 25-12, 25-20 and 25-20.
Maddy Vaara led Ludington with 10 kills, eight digs and two aces. Karli Mesyar facilitated the Ludington attack with 14 assists. Jordyn Anderson added seven digs, six kills and five blocks for the Orioles, while Keelyn Laird had eight kills and six digs.
Claire LaVigne had 12 assists for MCC, while Erin LaVigne finished off nine kills. Elaina LaGuire tallied five kills while Ella Muskovin added two aces.
On defense, the Crusaders were led by Emma Maierhauser with 13 digs and Erin LaVigne with seven digs.
Ludington moves to 17-17 on the season, including 4-1 in Lakes 8 play, good for second in the conference. The Crusaders are now 16-11 overall and 3-2 in conference play.
