The Fremont volleyball team picked up a conference win in a hard-fought match against Chippewa Hills on Tuesday. The Packers prevailed in five sets to remain unbeaten in the CSAA Gold.
Fremont dropped the first set 21-25 before winning the second 25-15. After falling 18-25 in the third set, the Packers rallied to take the final two sets by scores of 25-19 and 16-14.
Carle Bruggema led the Packer offense with 36 assists and five aces. Alexis Lacount tallied 12 kills to lead Fremont. Kennedy Christoffersen anchored the defense with 17 digs.
The Packers move to 4-0 in conference play and 18-15-1 overall. Fremont will face Newaygo Thursday in another conference showdown.
