The North Muskegon football team defeated Shelby 67-0 Friday night in a dominant showcase from the Norsemen.
Quarterback James Young led the passing attack with 131 yards and four touchdowns on only seven attempts.
Leading the ground game was Nick Dana, who put up 108 yards and a pair of touchdowns for the Norse.
Sam Gallo led the North Muskegon defense with 6.5 tackles, three of which were tackles for loss.
Bo Neadeau and Matt Colbert both hauled in an interception, capping off what proved to be a stifling shutout for North Muskegon.
Shelby’s Travis Boughan passed for 38 yards on 13 attempts. Receiver Trejyn Waller hauled in three receptions, one a pass from Isiah Garcia, for 55 total yards on the night.
Cade Clements notched seven tackles for the Tigers on defense.
The win is the first of the season for the Norse, who travel to Hart next week. Shelby falls to 0-3 and will host Whitehall next week.
