The Muskegon Big Reds made a statement with a dominant 58-0 win over Grand Rapids Union Friday night.

Leading the Big Reds’ explosive offense was Meshaune Crowley, who ran for three touchdowns on the night.

Quarterback Myles Walton led the team in rushing yards with 105 and scored a touchdown of his own.

The defense proved to be just as effective as they pitched a shutout on the night. Dominic Sugin led the unit with five total tackles for a combined 24 lost yards.

Princeton Blackman managed five tackles of his own, and Jay’v’on Gilbert nabbed an interception for the Big Reds to round out their strong defensive showing.

Muskegon moves to 3-1 on the year and 2-0 in conference play. The Big Reds travel to Wyoming next week as they look to keep their season going strong.
